Spread over a total surface of 422,08 square meters, on a lot of 540 square meters, the imposing summer house was especially built for the entertainment of the residents and their guests.<br /><a name="more"></a>Defined by uneven volumes, brick and red roof tiles, the exterior appearance of the<b> residence</b> is complemented by a swimming pool on one side, and by a paved pathway and a miniature car lane on the other. The<b> interior design</b> is a logical extension of the exterior, with tall brick walls and plenty of wood employed throughout. The heart of the project is the double-height living room, connected with all other spaces and “flanked” by two suites. Various terraces create a good indoor/outdoor relationship. These three volumes were designed to perfectly adapt to the property – a hillside terrain oriented towards the East, defined by “a 10-15 km panoramic view characteristic of a penthouse” – as described by the creative minds behind this project.<br /><a name="more"></a> This <b>contemporary home designed </b>by<b> Drozdov</b> Partners is located in <b>Kharkov</b>, Ukraine, in a picturesque setting. A terraced property profile proved to be challenging, but the final result is a magnificent modern home made out of three <b>60 square</b> meter <b>containers</b> each. The natural slope of the hillside allowed the architects to place two <b>perpendicular containers</b> on top of each other, while the third one sits separately and shelters the <b>guest suite</b>. The lower volume is occupied by the living spaces, while the upper one – resting on the slope – was risen to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings. A terrace wraps around two sides of the house, pierced by an inviting swimming pool and honestly open to the views, as are the<b> social areas</b>. This sleek and contemporary residence is set deep into the hillside, blending seamlessly into its environment. According to the <b>architects</b>, the overall design of this 4,722 square foot home consists of three separate <b>building</b> structures, each housing different functions but all flawlessly connected by bridges, breezeways and ‘streets’. A cantilevered steel entry bridge hovers over an impressive, cave stone covered <br /><a name="more"></a>retaining wall creating a sunken garden below with a cool continuous breeze. An abundance of windows, a glass enclosed bridge to the Master Suite and a glass lined stairwell allow for golf course views from nearly every room while erasing the separation of indoors and outdoors. Stone walls that continue from the exterior to interior, lend in drawing nature inside. Complete with a pool, outdoor kitchen, fireplaces and several seating areas, the outdoor living space blends naturally with the surrounding environment creating a modern but warm appearance. Despite the challenging terrain, this sophisticated, Texas contemporary home merges with ease into the hillside presenting a sophisticated look to the passing golfers while enjoying a coveted view of the golf course.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8onNFf_V4n6EoeyVxBlhp_nuYC7ZCkqSIn40chuaqGGr-xCA7aIj9GxHeawo3SjkeLWDRWNGefpG3KQQwcsZykHtN7N8DhyphenhyphenfgmeUBbwgAqGj7o0qLdojoRIfvIhP4-v44qLRb4xPLIjw/s1600/Westlake-Drive-House-04-1-modern+architecture+house.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8onNFf_V4n6EoeyVxBlhp_nuYC7ZCkqSIn40chuaqGGr-xCA7aIj9GxHeawo3SjkeLWDRWNGefpG3KQQwcsZykHtN7N8DhyphenhyphenfgmeUBbwgAqGj7o0qLdojoRIfvIhP4-v44qLRb4xPLIjw/s400/Westlake-Drive-House-04-1-modern+architecture+house.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK6CSiJbQdDfvNKlnHRAkdGFuxgTY07-mQgfByLB3pza74q8G-Aiu9p45POK9Zza7kGWwJNKOABvJb0yDq6fAyaX4iJg4g1w7inQMjUJGezVcomSyxlN5kmgJUtSCSoLJ36iEgAHBbJRw/s1600/Westlake-Drive-House-06-1-Kind-Design.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK6CSiJbQdDfvNKlnHRAkdGFuxgTY07-mQgfByLB3pza74q8G-Aiu9p45POK9Zza7kGWwJNKOABvJb0yDq6fAyaX4iJg4g1w7inQMjUJGezVcomSyxlN5kmgJUtSCSoLJ36iEgAHBbJRw/s400/Westlake-Drive-House-06-1-Kind-Design.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmJb5Q4tK643hJtfSzWtLDfyWHzkndzE7Oj-CPJA359vlkFceCvm1TkbOQwYio7A7ly82G-bN5lbU5B2jsDITeSDiQjiyry_Ew-CYbNoCsSKAOABMyNVFjBfp1r8OLe2chfUptPbV4_dU/s1600/Westlake-Drive-House-08-1-amazing+architecture+houses.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmJb5Q4tK643hJtfSzWtLDfyWHzkndzE7Oj-CPJA359vlkFceCvm1TkbOQwYio7A7ly82G-bN5lbU5B2jsDITeSDiQjiyry_Ew-CYbNoCsSKAOABMyNVFjBfp1r8OLe2chfUptPbV4_dU/s400/Westlake-Drive-House-08-1-amazing+architecture+houses.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGpfLl9gwfh5qJfjkNVdDlEd7yBXaoLH3R9ujjMohslshBK7SmHE-cJ-7iKwV7M29QPJEPPH9ufQ_5aVvMKmCcTmrAAK54hb_jWCm1MQLd5fsiBWsA8gjNNapSzuLqa7xoxmRIcY_MqDQ/s1600/Westlake-Drive-House-11-1-architect.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGpfLl9gwfh5qJfjkNVdDlEd7yBXaoLH3R9ujjMohslshBK7SmHE-cJ-7iKwV7M29QPJEPPH9ufQ_5aVvMKmCcTmrAAK54hb_jWCm1MQLd5fsiBWsA8gjNNapSzuLqa7xoxmRIcY_MqDQ/s400/Westlake-Drive-House-11-1-architect.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfPCIPnUUI_F60tudzwqjRaeEmJK_2dB_ZCXEuu8fN4XfmrSk3yN5ta4eqSbcRk_jxDWf-A55g_hz0HhvxHKeoRvTAG7sIgD-SliVtMpn1EEdr2n6Z9VFMcIZnAUAFh47sKwtPSB2wLx0/s1600/Westlake-Drive-House-12-1-architecture.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfPCIPnUUI_F60tudzwqjRaeEmJK_2dB_ZCXEuu8fN4XfmrSk3yN5ta4eqSbcRk_jxDWf-A55g_hz0HhvxHKeoRvTAG7sIgD-SliVtMpn1EEdr2n6Z9VFMcIZnAUAFh47sKwtPSB2wLx0/s400/Westlake-Drive-House-12-1-architecture.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG29kPtUozCHWjRa_j7NxELmld5klHPD017GsUgYvLEnAQxP8W-xatpN8uLsaPL5wiR1cc_3XrICyji9vJwZ95otGourw6oxIkiwUS3kuhrnSjRXCD7bynw6k749FHC_c64TF22O46nyU/s1600/modern+design+vintage+mobilya.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG29kPtUozCHWjRa_j7NxELmld5klHPD017GsUgYvLEnAQxP8W-xatpN8uLsaPL5wiR1cc_3XrICyji9vJwZ95otGourw6oxIkiwUS3kuhrnSjRXCD7bynw6k749FHC_c64TF22O46nyU/s400/modern+design+vintage+mobilya.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />[ via : <b><a href="http://www.1kindesign.com/2012/02/16/a-peaceful-hillside-residence-in-texas/">1kindesign</a> </b>]

Hovering a large volume above the landscape eliminates the typical discontinuity <br /><a name="more"></a>between the front and rear garden areas and situates a built outdoor environment in the midst of a measurably larger feeling garden space. The blanketing roof is shaped to conduct softly gradient, reflected clerestory light while seemingly floating gently and protectively over the interior spaces“. Moreover, the Hover House 2 was built with sustainability in mind: ” PVC cool roof technology, high efficiency mechanical systems, window shading, sustainable wood finish and structural products and minimization of long term refinishing and maintenance are just several measures this project.” The <b>interior design</b> is highly contemporary, featuring intriguing furniture arrangements<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTJjKqDqr88Lcvma_94hKt8TTsmGmWJNdCzFRGoEvYYbhpVwI4kocTYzo5u6iPsDR7fFisJpIv7ljkxhXVkcMV7IV6jtfCErvJG-KcotgojjUOxa2fkoZKMJ42hnHqb6lop9adNmTp52w/s1600/modern-House-Freshome-05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="257" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTJjKqDqr88Lcvma_94hKt8TTsmGmWJNdCzFRGoEvYYbhpVwI4kocTYzo5u6iPsDR7fFisJpIv7ljkxhXVkcMV7IV6jtfCErvJG-KcotgojjUOxa2fkoZKMJ42hnHqb6lop9adNmTp52w/s400/modern-House-Freshome-05.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhySMxF4Q3L_1ghDkHV9m-3WXsiaFlRewLiBIwjublSQlIygdqJs14wtEbKAb9wxEiUhDxaXpPoV_Xcbi_pmGPsHhcIDo_SpsGlqUJwkdRNtEDiT7PvbWR016jY0jGZ2YUAWa96G5rfwws/s1600/modern-House-Freshome-07.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="258" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhySMxF4Q3L_1ghDkHV9m-3WXsiaFlRewLiBIwjublSQlIygdqJs14wtEbKAb9wxEiUhDxaXpPoV_Xcbi_pmGPsHhcIDo_SpsGlqUJwkdRNtEDiT7PvbWR016jY0jGZ2YUAWa96G5rfwws/s400/modern-House-Freshome-07.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheuNGS0tmCoPTCEV9klD4O-ep-JjWFX6qjVuZPm9l8WdhfyGf9LP0B0174aRZcgad_8gjQL5eYWs0tE9xzbZCh9Li0M89k5sJtsoox13oJhUEcZoUtF59ZPvy994nYq2jBbYVhzfsVE-g/s1600/modern-House-Freshome-12.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="258" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheuNGS0tmCoPTCEV9klD4O-ep-JjWFX6qjVuZPm9l8WdhfyGf9LP0B0174aRZcgad_8gjQL5eYWs0tE9xzbZCh9Li0M89k5sJtsoox13oJhUEcZoUtF59ZPvy994nYq2jBbYVhzfsVE-g/s400/modern-House-Freshome-12.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifITKqAhIitBDfadN9XyVE5JbNUiTVklGwM9sOEiFNwGEKqnKBXZslv1WRF3TYftDQlU0oKZznbP2WdDEileUrH30wCvdbpr5TuC73p3gLpg2WJN0tLb5TwlhX0kfA2YRtRpq0044_Nnc/s1600/modern-House-Freshome-15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="257" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifITKqAhIitBDfadN9XyVE5JbNUiTVklGwM9sOEiFNwGEKqnKBXZslv1WRF3TYftDQlU0oKZznbP2WdDEileUrH30wCvdbpr5TuC73p3gLpg2WJN0tLb5TwlhX0kfA2YRtRpq0044_Nnc/s400/modern-House-Freshome-15.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYFLrp711frNuMVVoYnbMOa4XQGZ6a8u-4rjFIegZFIix-LEso-84Cd_nx76stPBWwWGaYIQtZENvuC7UUTmetLIjX-FNSPc0Cfx5fPusJJEISn3RpLmBcWLZV_SdUqY6m-GM7i3a1FyY/s1600/modern-House-Freshome-16.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYFLrp711frNuMVVoYnbMOa4XQGZ6a8u-4rjFIegZFIix-LEso-84Cd_nx76stPBWwWGaYIQtZENvuC7UUTmetLIjX-FNSPc0Cfx5fPusJJEISn3RpLmBcWLZV_SdUqY6m-GM7i3a1FyY/s400/modern-House-Freshome-16.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />visit the site : <a href="http://www.glenirani.com/">glenirani</a></div>

The post-war house that used to occupy the lot has been transformed into a freshly designed residence for a young family of four. All the spaces in the house – the master bedroom<b> </b>and bath, 2 additional bedrooms with a bathroom and playroom for the children, the kitchen, living room, an office, gym, laundry room and storage – were recreated by tearing down the interior walls, second floor and roof. The 3,500 square feet house became a dream home situated on a slightly sloped terrain. A double-height volume featuring a glazed wall opens up to the outside space, offering beautiful views of the nearby park.<br /><br /><a name="more"></a> The kitchen was prolonged outside on the terrace, creating a natural gathering space for the family and guests. <b>Division1 Architects</b> worked on this project that surprises the most elemental human desires: a dream home surrounded by nature. Thanks to <b>Debi Fox Photography</b>, we can all enjoy the beautiful <b>Roberts Residence</b>. Look below to see the before and after pictures.<br /><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP4q5KnaQpY7pqmPeIrQi4yika3MS34HCGcPO_sFywskY7X_Yxbyd13-jJVsDlDJguKvgttBhAdbolxoiyvx6PHr5bY7vYvPV9JLhEQgV7QiXJ3KzForwDA0QyfNb5t8HMhm1OAmMn2j0/s1600/Roberts-Residence-5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP4q5KnaQpY7pqmPeIrQi4yika3MS34HCGcPO_sFywskY7X_Yxbyd13-jJVsDlDJguKvgttBhAdbolxoiyvx6PHr5bY7vYvPV9JLhEQgV7QiXJ3KzForwDA0QyfNb5t8HMhm1OAmMn2j0/s400/Roberts-Residence-5.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs2-8CBzVxg4ZKkj97UIMCozTC6GiV_E3I_j0jKwRZf34OzKpem2lq2KCb0nILDteyghAuo4mQLmw7drDecPCtc5Nt0WkSIYyLYunXvYCVw2GlVITeQCF2Q_mCuJmbz6pobz2EJQWtMFg/s1600/Roberts-Residence-8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs2-8CBzVxg4ZKkj97UIMCozTC6GiV_E3I_j0jKwRZf34OzKpem2lq2KCb0nILDteyghAuo4mQLmw7drDecPCtc5Nt0WkSIYyLYunXvYCVw2GlVITeQCF2Q_mCuJmbz6pobz2EJQWtMFg/s400/Roberts-Residence-8.jpg" width="266" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPU6fxfGUHVhI0XpxmGeAQBZPrArZviX3OFVnPGqSZlZmeYn_QEhHiGboz2vNFcuKEkDQDkzkCn7a6FzeUWIGHpRBvL9yytf0Htf5WGg8_SvmdUzLGVCi0RLDleqViaRokip11QBIkQFo/s1600/Roberts-Residence-9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPU6fxfGUHVhI0XpxmGeAQBZPrArZviX3OFVnPGqSZlZmeYn_QEhHiGboz2vNFcuKEkDQDkzkCn7a6FzeUWIGHpRBvL9yytf0Htf5WGg8_SvmdUzLGVCi0RLDleqViaRokip11QBIkQFo/s400/Roberts-Residence-9.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />visit the site : <a href="http://freshome.com/2011/05/20/the-transformation-of-a-post-war-house-into-a-fantastic-residence/">freshome</a></div>
